HISTORY

We are established in the New Orleans, LA area. After Hurricane Katrina many of our students (youth) were relocated and displaced educationally, socially and emotionally across the United States.

Now that we are rebuilding New Orleans our youth are
returning home to their culture, city and home.

In addition, some of them are having a difficult time trying to maintain and readjust in our incomplete public school system.

Feeling disenfranchised  by the lost of everything that was familar, anger and fear takes over some youth and violence is the answer to express such pain.

As you know, violence within our communities  is at an all time high and it's our children being
murdered.

Too often in the news, a child is either a victim of violence or murdered by the hand of another youth.

       This Must Stop!

The need to address this epidemic has given the founders of SAY a vision.

SAY has taken an holistic approach to creating change within our young people's lives.

Working in conjunction, with families, schools, community partners and faithbased organizations, to encourage and support vital and sustaining programs, that uplift youth and prevent violence.

SAY is invested in a better future for our youth of New Orleans and throughout the United States.
